Job Title: Senior Project Manager

Position Overview: The Senior Project Manager will lead and manage complex projects valued over $10M, encompassing the full spectrum of project planning, scheduling, and execution. This role requires strong leadership and the ability to oversee multidiscipline projects with high risk and significant financial investment. The manager will guide project teams, set priorities, ensure effective project execution, and maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Lead and coordinate project teams of over ten members, spanning multiple disciplines and organizations.
  • Manage capital project budgets and cashflows; work closely with finance and project control teams.
  • Serve as a primary liaison between project teams, engineers, and management, maintaining project alignment.
  • Develop and monitor project schedules, managing risks, tracking progress, and critical path analysis.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior project managers and step in for supervisory duties when needed.
  • Manage contracts and interface with vendors, ensuring compliance and timely completion.
  • Lead and participate in self-assessment and corrective action programs for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related field with 20+ years of relevant experience; advanced degrees can offset two years of experience.
  • Experience: 20+ years in a technical field with extensive project management experience in complex, multi-discipline projects; experience in commercial nuclear power or similar industries preferred.
  • Certification: PMP certification required; construction management certification is a plus.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in project management software, budgeting, and risk management. Familiarity with regulatory codes and standards related to operations, construction, maintenance, and project work.
  • Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities, with excellent oral and written communication skills for interfacing with all levels of the organization.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Advanced knowledge of error reduction, human performance improvement methods, and cost-effective work execution.
  • Experience in online work management, refueling, and outage-related activities.
  • Strong analytical skills, with an ability to develop and implement strategic project plans and manage diverse project portfolios.

Work Environment:

  • Full-time, on-site role with a schedule of 4 days x 10 hours (Monday – Thursday).
  • U.S. Citizenship required, with eligibility for green badge level 2 access.
