Retail Merchandising Representative

A leading food and beverage organization is seeking a Retail Merchandising Representative to own order and merchandising execution across a 40-45-store Miami-area grocery territory. This field-based representative will visit approximately five to six stores per day, partner with dairy managers, protect on-shelf availability, build displays, and identify opportunities to grow sales.

The best fit is an outgoing, bilingual English/Spanish field professional who is comfortable with physical merchandising, daily local driving, mobile reporting, and direct conversations with grocery department leaders. A high school diploma is sufficient; practical grocery, retail, route, sales, or customer-service experience matters most.

Location: Miami-Dade and southern Broward County grocery territory; daily local travel required

Schedule: Full-time, five field days per week; approximately five to six store visits daily

Work Setting: Remote home base in Miami FL with daily onsite travel to assigned grocery stores

Responsibilities

• Own order and merchandising execution for approximately 40-45 grocery stores across the assigned territory.
• Plan and complete an efficient daily route of approximately five to six stores while maintaining dependable attendance and timely reporting.
• Meet with dairy managers each week to support inventory levels for normal and promotional volume.
• Maintain distribution of authorized products and sell incremental distribution, shelf space, displays, coolers, and secondary placements.
• Build productive relationships with dairy managers, store leadership, receiving teams, and other store personnel.
• Maintain shelf standards, product rotation, backstock organization, point-of-sale materials, and at-shelf availability across the product portfolio.
• Merchandise approximately 50-70 cases per store when route volume requires it and safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Support planogram and shelf-schematic execution and collaborate with store management to improve category space and visibility.
• Use an iPhone and company-provided iPad to complete questionnaires, photographs, store documentation, and follow-up reporting.
• Translate category-management direction into store-specific action plans and raise local opportunities or execution barriers to the appropriate sales contacts.
• Manage route priorities, travel, follow-up, and approved business expenses independently.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills required for the Miami market.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; a four-year degree is not required.
• Sales, customer service, grocery, retail merchandising, route service, DSD, field marketing, or related customer-facing experience.
• Reliable personal transportation, a valid driver's license, and an excellent driving record.
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout the assigned field territory five days per week.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and complete sustained standing, walking, bending, reaching, stocking, display building, and case movement.
• Extroverted, professional communication style and confidence approaching dairy managers and store leadership.
• Comfort using an iPhone, iPad, email, mobile questionnaires, photographs, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Self-motivated, organized, results-driven, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while supporting common team goals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Grocery, dairy, refrigerated, yogurt, beverage, snack, bakery, or other consumer packaged goods experience.
• Experience with product rotation, ordering, planograms, shelf standards, displays, backstock, out-of-stocks, or incremental placement.
• Prior ownership of a multi-store route or territory and interest in growing into field sales, customer development, or category management.
