Ag Mechanic
Location: Clyman, WI
Pay: $27–$36/hr (based on experience)
Schedule: Day or Night Shift | Seasonal Overtime Required
Role Overview
You will support agricultural and processing operations at a high-volume food production facility. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing farm and plant equipment during both peak harvest (pack) season and off-season operations.
This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced environment where reliability, mechanical skill, and the ability to work extended hours during peak season are critical.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on agricultural equipment including tractors, harvesters, and support machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
- Support processing equipment tied to incoming raw product during pack season.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections on all assigned equipment.
- Assist with equipment setup, calibration, and adjustments during harvest operations.
- Work closely with operations and production teams to keep equipment running efficiently.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment in accordance with company standards.

Shift Options:
- Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Shift preference is typically based on mechanic team alignment

Peak Season (Pack):
- 6–7 days per week
- ~80 hours per week common
- Weekend work required
- Schedule may vary depending on harvest conditions

Off-Season:
- More stable hours focused on maintenance, rebuilds, and preparation
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience working on agricultural, heavy equipment, diesel, or industrial machinery
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills (hydraulics, engines, basic electrical)
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends during peak season
- Comfortable working in outdoor and production environments
- Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in food processing or agricultural production environments
- Diesel or heavy equipment certifications
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Familiarity with harvest equipment and seasonal operations
