Overview

A leading food manufacturing company in Geneva, NY is hiring 2 Maintenance Mechanics to support plant operations.

This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining and repairing high-speed production equipment. You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, completing repairs, and supporting preventative maintenance to keep operations running efficiently.

This facility operates on a seasonal production cycle. The role is primarily 1st shift, with increased hours and schedule flexibility required during peak production.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance on production line equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues quickly and effectively
• Repair and rebuild pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and motors
• Complete preventative maintenance and equipment overhauls
• Maintain accurate repair logs and documentation
• Support plant uptime during active production
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Experience working with conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and motors
• Welding experience preferred
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Ability to make quick decisions in a production environment
• Strong communication skills

Schedule

• 1st shift schedule for the majority of the year
• Initial training may be Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts
• During peak production:
• 12-hour shifts
• Rotating schedule with varying days
• Overtime required

Candidates must be flexible and open to schedule changes based on production demand.
