Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Piping and Plumbing Superintendent to oversee all aspects of our piping and plumbing projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the construction process, ensuring the quality of work, and maintaining safety standards on site. This role requires a proactive leader with a strong background in mechanical construction, adept at coordinating with project teams, and managing subcontractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, and supervise the installation of all piping and plumbing systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate the activities of project teams, including foremen, journeymen, and apprentices, to achieve project objectives efficiently.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships, ensuring their work meets quality standards and adheres to project timelines.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of projects.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, allocating resources effectively to meet project milestones.
  • Enforce strict safety protocols on site, conducting safety meetings, and ensuring the well-being of all personnel.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the project team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Manage project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and as-built drawings, ensuring accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the mechanical construction industry, specifically in piping and plumbing.
  • Journeyman/Plumber License REQUIRED
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing and piping systems, materials, installation methods, and relevant codes and standards.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale mechanical construction projects.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Proficient in construction management software and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • A commitment to safety and quality.
  • Relevant certifications and licenses as required by local regulations
