Overview
A leading food and beverage manufacturer is seeking an R&D Food Scientist to support product innovation, renovation, and commercialization efforts.
You will lead and execute product development projects, working cross-functionally to bring new and improved products from concept through plant launch.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop formulations supporting:
- Innovation
- Renovation
- Productivity initiatives
- Manage medium to high complexity R&D projects through stage-gate process
- Serve as the R&D lead within cross-functional project teams
- Partner with:
- Ingredient suppliers
- Co-manufacturers
- External vendors
- Design and execute product trials and experiments
- Organize tastings and evaluate results with cross-functional teams
- Support consumer testing:
- Sample production
- Product quality validation
- Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to commercialize products
- Prepare and manage:
- Product specifications
- Documentation for production startup
- Share best practices across global R&D teams
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field with 5–10 years of experience
- OR Master’s degree with 3–5 years of experience
- Experience in:
- Food or beverage product development
- Commercialization in manufacturing environments
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with R&D, Operations, and Engineering
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfortable mentoring or guiding junior team members
- Proficient with standard R&D and documentation tools
