Pay: $28.00–$34.00/hr
Overview
A long-standing food manufacturing facility in Ripon, WI is hiring 2 Maintenance Mechanics to support both plant and warehouse operations.
This is a canning facility with over 100 years of operation, running a semi-automated production environment focused on vegetables such as green beans and carrots. The plant expands significantly during peak season, and maintenance plays a critical role in keeping operations running.
This role is best suited for someone who is hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working in a seasonal, high-demand production environment where schedules and workload shift throughout the year.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance on plant or warehouse equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues during production
- Maintain and rebuild:
- Chains, sprockets, and gearboxes
- Bearings and power transmission systems
- Conveyors, pumps, and motors
- Support preventative maintenance and equipment overhauls
- Respond to breakdowns and minimize downtime during production runs
- Maintain repair logs and documentation
- Follow all safety and housekeeping standards
Qualifications
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance
- Strong mechanical knowledge of:
- Power transmission systems (chains, sprockets, gearboxes, bearings)
- Basic hydraulics and pneumatics
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment in a live production environment
- Welding, machining, or fabrication experience preferred
- PLC exposure preferred but not required
- Open to candidates from manufacturing, automotive, military, construction, or similar backgrounds
Candidates must be comfortable working outside of a traditional 9–5 schedule.
Schedule Details
Plant Maintenance Mechanic (1 Opening)

Pack Season (Late June – Mid November):12-hour shifts: 5:00am–5:00pm or 5:00pm–5:00am
- 2-shift operation
- 1 scheduled day off per week
- Shift rotation midway through the season
- Daily overtime required

Off-Season:1 shift operation
- 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts starting at 5:00am
Warehouse Maintenance Mechanic – Night Shift (1 Opening)

Off-Season:5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
- Start time typically around 2:00pm

Peak Season (Late October – December):2-shift operation
- Hours vary based on order volume and shipping demand
