Shifts for corn pack are 12 hours every day , We normally run 70 days (84 hours a week for these 70 days- will allow days off if needed) . Off pack they work 10-hour shifts -Monday to Thursday

Maintenance Plant



Assigned mechanical job duties to maintain and repair food processing equipment. Completes repairs during the processing season to meet production goals. Overhaul and install plant equipment during non-production periods to be ready for the next scheduled production run.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Inspect, repair and maintain machinery, and equipment throughout the facility.
  • Trouble shoot, repair, and replace machinery as required.
  • Read sketches and blueprints to determine layout of assigned work.
  • Design, fabricate, weld, and install equipment as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and PM completed.
  • Monitor equipment operation making any necessary adjustments.
  • Complete PO Requests to order parts and supplies for the department.
  • Assist in training new and junior Mechanics.
  • Some post-high school education or training is beneficial
  • Knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Good written and oral communication.
  • Mechanical repair and equipment maintenance knowledge.
  • Attention to detail when working with diagrams, prints and manuals.
  • Must be capable of working by yourself on individual projects as well as a team member on projects.


  • Physical Requirements:Able to lift moderate to heavy weights (up to 100 lbs). Carrying up to 50 lbs, hearing, holding, walking, sitting, talking, reaching, seeing, standing, driving .


  • Working Conditions:Tight time constraints, precision demands, productivity demands, overtime work, on-call work, weekend work, Holiday work, outdoor work, heights, holiday work, outdoor work, heights, exposure to odors, barriers, risk of injury, high noise levels, cramped work spaces, slippery surfaces, exposure to temperature changes/heat/cold, exposure to electrical hazards, exposure to dust/dirt, machinery vibration, exposure to weather, exposure to mechanical hazards and exposure to chemicals.


  • Accountability:Responsible for completion of all job assignments in accordance with established procedures to meet qualtiy, production, and safety goals.
  • Frequent interaction with plant/warehouse managers and superintendents. Constant interaction with other hourly personnel. As well as, infrequent contact with suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
