Job Duties
- Operate computer using particular software and database; must be familiar with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Receive, issue, and track incoming specimens ranging in different bulk sizes from 2 ounces to 55 gallons and enter information into the database.
- Stock and organize inventory products ranging from 2 ounces to 55 gallons.
- Receive and count stock items before signing off on receivables.
- Prepare product for shipping in accordance with DOT and TCEQ regulations.
- Compile and maintain purchase orders, requisitions, and other documents, emails, or manifests in order to assist levels and maintain the database.
- Offload fuel from trucks into storage and dispensing tanks.
- Transfer fuel between tanks as requested and input data into the database.
- Prepare samples for disposal by marking and removing containers from racks and placing them in proper disposal areas.
- Crush containers after disposal of contents.
- Prepare lubricant samples for storage.
- Communicate with coworkers, engineers, and clients concerning lubricant and fuel status.
- Use forklift and truck to move lubricants and fuel samples ranging in different bulk sizes from 2 ounces to 55 gallons.
- Use tanker truck to move fuel as requested.
- Assist in keeping all work areas clean.
- Comply with EPA, DOT, OSHA, and TCEQ regulations.
Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have computer operating skills with introductory knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word spreadsheets.
- General knowledge of warehouse inventory control systems.
- Maintain database spreadsheet with incoming and outgoing specimens.
- Maintain and recognize adequate inventory levels.
- Ability to communicate and provide information to clients, project leaders, and management regarding product levels, product receivables, and product deliverables.
- Maintain a quality standard of service.
- Ability to handle fuel and lubricant in accordance with government regulations and practices.
- Ability to drive commercial fuel truck on institute grounds ranging from 1000 to 4000 and retrieving and dispensing fuel.
- General knowledge of hazardous production and disposal practices and recognition of proper labeling.
- General knowledge of NFPA labels.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to various tasks assigned while demonstrating a safe approach.

1 to 2 years related experience.
- Must be able to lift over 50 pounds unassisted.
- Must have steel toe shoes.
- Must submit to a MVR driver’s license check.
