Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts (Mon–Thurs). Must also be available for 12-hour shifts during outages to support 24/7 coverage.

Role Overview
The Design Electrical Engineer provides independent engineering services and support to perform highly complex design and modification tasks across plant systems and facilities. This position requires specialized skills, broad technical knowledge, and the ability to apply engineering fundamentals to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations. The role also serves as a technical advisor and mentor to others.
Principal Accountabilities
- Perform complex engineering analyses and designs in support of plant operations, system modifications, programs, audit inspections, and assessments.
- Work with minimal supervision and serve as a subject matter expert on assignments requiring unique or specialized engineering approaches.
- Provide solutions using unconventional or innovative techniques for challenging problems.
- Deliver technical training and guidance to small groups on highly complex or extended projects.
- Identify needs and initiate the development of new policies, programs, plans, and procedures to support strategic objectives.
- Ensure compliance with codes, standards, regulatory requirements, and industry guidance. Provide interpretation of industry standards as needed.
- Identify potential design, quality, or operational issues and implement corrective actions.
- Support outage periods by working 12-hour shifts as part of the outage team’s 24/7 coverage.
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution and 7+ years of engineering experience, OR
- High School diploma plus PE license obtained through accredited examination and 8+ years of engineering experience, OR
- GED plus PE license obtained through accredited examination and 8+ years of engineering experience.
Desired Education & Experience
- Commercial nuclear plant experience.
- SRO (Senior Reactor Operator) or Plant Certification.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (with bachelor’s degree).
- At least one diverse assignment in engineering or operations.

- Strong ability to provide technical leadership, guidance, and training to peers and other technical staff.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Ability to represent the engineering team in industry working groups and other technical forums.
