Human Resource Administrator


Location: Janesville, WI

Employment Type: Full-time, hourly

Reports to: HR Manager

Role overview

This role supports the HR team with a heavy focus on FMLA and workers’ comp. The site uses a 3rd party to process FMLA, but they still need someone onsite who can track, manage, and coordinate the day-to-day pieces, especially during pack season when activity increases.

Schedule and pay

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:30am–7:00pm (to overlap with night shift employees)
  • Pack season: schedule stays similar, but overtime and occasional weekends may be needed
  • Pay target: $24.00/hr for someone with relevant experience (higher would require approval)

Key responsibilities

  • Own onsite coordination and tracking for FMLA and workers’ comp
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees tied to these cases, including night shift crossover
  • Maintain HR documentation, records, and required logs
  • Support staffing/admin needs as assigned (site-specific tasks will vary by season)
  • Assist with reporting and internal communication as needed

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience supporting FMLA and/or workers’ comp (process familiarity matters most)
  • Strong confidentiality, organization, and follow-through
  • Strong communication skills with employees and leadership
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Bilingual: helpful, not required
  • Union experience: helpful, not required (the HR Manager handles union matters)
