Program Context
This role supports the AIM-9X program in Tucson, AZ under contract N00019-21-C-0723. The AIM-9X is the latest Sidewinder short-range missile system used across air-to-air and ground-launch applications. The program supports the U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, and allied Foreign Military Sales customers.
This matters for recruiting because the quality work is tied to missile production hardware, not general commercial manufacturing. Candidates with aerospace, defense, precision machining, composites, inspection, AS9100, FAI, and technical documentation experience will fit much better than general warehouse or light manufacturing quality candidates.
The program has major production demand. A 2025 award increased AIM-9X Block II production toward 2,500 missiles per year, so manufacturing quality, inspection support, documentation accuracy, and factory issue resolution are important to keeping production moving.

This role helps maintain product quality, supports inspection teams, verifies process compliance, and keeps documentation aligned with technical requirements. You will work closely with quality, engineering, inspection, and production teams in a fast-paced defense manufacturing environment.
