Overview
A leading food manufacturing company is seeking a Quality Supervisor to support a high-volume processing and packaging facility. This plant produces shelf-stable and frozen vegetable products sourced directly from U.S. farms and distributed across retail, foodservice, and international markets.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will own quality, food safety, and sanitation execution on the production floor. You will work closely with operations to ensure product integrity, regulatory compliance, and consistent output during both off-season and peak production.

What You Will Own
- Lead quality and food safety execution on your assigned shift
- Supervise and develop QA team members on the floor
- Ensure compliance with:
- GMPs
- Food safety and sanitation standards
- Labeling and case procedures
- Internal quality policies
- Review and organize processing records prior to QA Manager review
- Conduct audits across production to ensure consistency and compliance
- Identify and investigate quality issues, including spoilage or deviations
- Partner with operations and maintenance to resolve root causes
- Support internal and external food safety audits
Training & Technical Oversight
- Train employees on:
- Fill control
- Sanitation practices
- Can seam integrity
- Product grading
- Statistical process control
- Maintain strong presence on the floor during production
- Ensure teams are following procedures in real time, not just on paper

- Issues are identified early and corrected quickly

What They Are Looking For
- Experience in food manufacturing or food processing
- Background in quality assurance, food safety, or sanitation
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong understanding of:
- GMPs
- FDA/USDA regulations
- Food safety systems
- Ability to work on the floor and make real-time decisions
- Strong communication and team leadership skills
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field
- Certifications or willingness to obtain:
- Better Process Control School
- Thermal Processing
- Container Closure
Schedule
- Hours fluctuate based on production needs
- Off-season:
- Typically 5 days/week, 8-hour shifts
- Peak production (mid-June through November):
- 5 days/week, ~10-hour shifts
- Coverage across both shift changes (7:00am and 7:00pm)
- Schedule rotates between supervisors
- Typical schedules:
- Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday
- Flexibility and teamwork required during peak season
