Compensation

$28.00 to $34.00 per hr depending on experience

Overtime available during production season

Schedule

Primary schedule is 1st shift outside of harvest season.

During pack season (late June through mid-November), electricians may rotate between day and night shifts depending on production needs.

Production shifts during pack season operate on 12-hour shifts (5 AM to 5 PM or 5 PM to 5 AM).


Position Overview

An established vegetable processing and food manufacturing facility in Ripon, WI is seeking Industrial Maintenance Electricians to support plant production operations.

This facility operates semi-automated canning operations and processes green beans, wax beans, Italian beans, and carrots.

The Electrician is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining plant electrical systems, controls, and automation equipment that support food processing and packaging lines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues affecting production equipment
  • Install, maintain, and repair plant electrical systems
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Maintain motors, motor controls, and power distribution systems
  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment
  • Repair sensors, control circuits, lighting systems, and instrumentation
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment
  • Install new electrical systems and modify existing ones
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, plant safety standards, and OSHA requirements
  • Support maintenance teams during equipment breakdowns
  • Assist with equipment upgrades and plant electrical improvements

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of 480V three-phase electrical systems
  • Control wiring and motor control troubleshooting
  • Ability to read electrical schematics
  • Electrical troubleshooting in manufacturing environments
  • Strong safety awareness including lockout/tagout procedures
  • Ability to work in production environments
