Location: Jacksonville, FL

Pay: $24.50/hr

Type: Contract to hire after 90 days

Openings

  • 2 Day Shift: 6:00am to 6:30pm
  • 2 Night Shift: 6:00pm to 6:30am

Schedule: 2x2x3 rotating schedule

Training:

  • First 2 to 3 months on day shift, 6:00am to 6:30pm, 2x2x3
  • Permanent Schedule After Hire:
  • Night shift, 6:00pm to 6:30am, 2x2x3

Role Overview

You will operate and maintain high-speed food manufacturing equipment in a production environment. This is a hands-on machine operator role, not forklift or mobile equipment operation.

You are expected to be mechanically capable, comfortable troubleshooting issues, clearing jams, performing sanitation, and keeping production moving safely and efficiently.

Previous experience running manufacturing production equipment is strongly preferred. Experience from similar industries is welcome if you are reliable, detail-oriented, and willing to work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate ESL filling and down-line packaging equipment
  • Clean, sanitize, and sterilize all tank lines and filling equipment per established procedures
  • Perform sanitation duties according to the master sanitation schedule
  • Verify and maintain correct chemical concentrations during cleaning
  • Inspect equipment for leaks, jams, and mechanical issues
  • Clear jams and make minor mechanical adjustments as needed
  • Sanitize fillers during startup, changeovers, and as required
  • Read and follow production sheets, specifications, and instructions
  • Verify product location and instructions with processing team
  • Discard initial product at startup and during product changeovers
  • Perform weight checks at startup and every 30 minutes during runs
  • Verify coding accuracy and product quality on a routine basis
  • Conduct dye checks to prevent leaking cartons
  • Minimize downtime during carton and product changeovers
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of machine surfaces and work areas
  • Remove waste throughout the shift and at shift end
  • Operate all down-line equipment as required
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately, including startup, downtime, HACCP, and production documentation

What They Are Looking For

  • Prior machine operation experience in manufacturing or production
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with industrial equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot, fix jams, and keep lines running
  • Experience in food, beverage, packaging, or similar regulated environments preferred
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to work 12 hr shifts on a rotating 2x2x3 schedule
  • Comfortable working night shift long-term after hire

This Role Is Not

  • Forklift-only operation
  • Warehouse-only work
  • Office or monitoring-only role
