The Cumberland Production Supervisor need to be available for both day and night shift during Pack, the typical hours are below:
Off Pack, 6A-4:30P M-Th. (4 10-hour shifts)
On season 12 days on, 2 days off. 8, 10-hour days, 4, 12-hour days. Generally 6A-4P, 2P-12A, 10P-6A.
Production Supervisor will lead and coordinate the activities of the production functions to achieve company goals. Complete daily production requirements in a cost-effective manner which meets or exceeds Good Manufacturing Practices and Employee Safety performance. Ensure that all employees are adequately trained and instructed.
Responsibilities:
Direct employees to work toward operational goals
Direct and supervise all processes to produce products that meet specifications
Direct and supervise the accurate completion of all departmental records
Ensure that all employees are adequately trained to perform assigned job
Develop/execute daily production plan which effectively utilizes all materials
Ensure that GMP’s (General manufacturing Practices), safety rules and regulations are being followed and enforced
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Knowledge of raw product preparation, packaging and thermal processes.
Ability to effectively communicate with other supervisors, lead people and subordinates.
Know required procedures (FDA, USDA, OSHA, AIB, GMP).
Minimum of a high school education with additional training in Thermal processing and Quality Assurance.
Employee is required to have three (3) to five (5) years of experience in food processing as a supervisor or lead person.
Working conditions require frequently walking and standing in wet/humid conditions. There will be exposure to chemicals and high noise. There is a 50-pound lifting requirement.
