Supply Chain Finance Associate Manager - Transportation

A large food and beverage organization needs a finance partner for its transportation operations team. This person will own recurring close and forecast support, build transportation-cost models, explain performance drivers, and help operations identify cost-saving opportunities.

The best fit has 3-5 years of progressive finance or accounting experience, advanced Excel and financial-modeling skills, and direct exposure to supply chain, logistics, transportation, warehousing, or a scaled CPG environment.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly close and forecast activities for transportation operations, including timely collection and validation of operating inputs.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reporting for food and beverage distribution networks; explain results, cost drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Build, update, and improve financial models used to forecast transportation costs and evaluate business decisions.
• Partner with transportation, logistics, warehouse, supply chain, and finance stakeholders to align assumptions and improve forecast accuracy.
• Translate detailed financial results into clear business guidance for operating partners and leaders.
• Develop and support cost-saving initiatives across the logistics network, tracking expected and realized financial impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 3-5 years of progressive finance or accounting experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and demonstrated financial-modeling ability.
• Hands-on experience with monthly close, forecasting, reporting, variance analysis, and business decision support.
• Ability to work independently against tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, including the ability to influence partners outside Finance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Finance experience supporting supply chain, transportation, logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, or CPG operations.
• Experience with SAP and Power BI.
• Track record of identifying, modeling, and helping deliver operational cost savings.
