Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant with a proven track record in public accounting to join our firm. The ideal candidate is a CPA with 5-10 years of experience preparing various tax returns—including individual, trust and estate, partnership, corporation, and S corporation returns. This role is designed for a self-starter who is detail-oriented, takes initiative, and is comfortable engaging directly with clients. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of tax returns including individual, trust and estate, partnership, corporation, and S corporation returns.
  • Utilize QuickBooks proficiently to manage client accounts and financial data.
  • Handle payroll reporting accurately.
  • Provide excellent client service through in-person meetings and phone calls.
  • Commit to mandatory overtime (15 hours per week) during peak periods:
  • February 1 – April 15
  • August 15 – October 15
  • Participate actively in firm initiatives aimed at elevating overall performance and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • CPA certification is required.
  • 5-10 years of experience in public accounting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in preparing a range of tax returns.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with payroll reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive in driving firm growth.
  • Open to long-term opportunities, including potential future ownership in the firm.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Rate: $32 per hour
  • Overtime is paid at time and a half.
  • Vacation & Personal Time:2 weeks of vacation annually
  • 1 week of personal time annually
