Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant with a proven track record in public accounting to join our firm. The ideal candidate is a CPA with 5-10 years of experience preparing various tax returns—including individual, trust and estate, partnership, corporation, and S corporation returns. This role is designed for a self-starter who is detail-oriented, takes initiative, and is comfortable engaging directly with clients. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of tax returns including individual, trust and estate, partnership, corporation, and S corporation returns.
- Utilize QuickBooks proficiently to manage client accounts and financial data.
- Handle payroll reporting accurately.
- Provide excellent client service through in-person meetings and phone calls.
- Commit to mandatory overtime (15 hours per week) during peak periods:
- February 1 – April 15
- August 15 – October 15
- Participate actively in firm initiatives aimed at elevating overall performance and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- CPA certification is required.
- 5-10 years of experience in public accounting.
- Demonstrated expertise in preparing a range of tax returns.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with payroll reporting.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive in driving firm growth.
- Open to long-term opportunities, including potential future ownership in the firm.
Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Rate: $32 per hour
- Overtime is paid at time and a half.
