Job Title: Site Superintendent – Construction

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Site Superintendent with a strong construction trade background and hands-on field experience, including federal or municipal project experience. This role is ideal for a construction professional who can take ownership of day-to-day jobsite operations while ensuring strict compliance with public-sector standards, safety requirements, and documentation protocols. The Site Superintendent will play a key role in delivering projects safely, on time, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily construction site activities to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence, particularly on federal and municipal projects.
  • Coordinate field work with subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and internal project teams.
  • Interpret and apply blueprints, technical drawings, and construction documents in compliance with public-sector requirements.
  • Assist with planning and scheduling labor, materials, and resources for project execution.
  • Conduct routine site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, contract requirements, and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily reports, safety logs, certified payroll coordination support, and progress tracking as required for public-sector projects.
  • Communicate regularly with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and clients to provide updates and resolve on-site issues.
  • Participate in jobsite meetings, inspections, and audits; enforce site safety protocols and company policies.
  • Utilize computer systems to document progress, manage schedules, and track materials or inventory.
  • Mentor field crews and promote accountability, quality workmanship, and adherence to compliance standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong trade-based construction experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of construction experience, including hands-on experience on federal and/or municipal projects.
  • Demonstrated ability or strong interest in site supervision and leadership.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and construction or project management software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience interacting with inspectors and public-sector stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate tradespeople and subcontractors.
  • Working knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations, including OSHA and public-sector compliance requirements.

Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience supervising crews or coordinating jobsite activities on public-sector projects.
  • Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore is a plus.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and navigate an active construction site for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in both indoor environments (job trailers/offices) and outdoor jobsite conditions in varying weather.
