Supply Chain Specialist I - Material Program Management

Lead supply-chain execution for safety-critical air-traffic surveillance and terminal-automation modernization work. This role connects program leadership, procurement teams, and critical suppliers to keep material available for customer deployments and mission-critical production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the supply-chain representative to program leadership and internal stakeholders, coordinating procurement, materials, engineering, quality, operations, and supplier activity.
• Build and execute supply-chain strategies that support timely purchase-order placement, supplier accountability, production readiness, and customer deployment schedules.
• Manage critical suppliers and lead recurring status meetings focused on commitments, shortages, recovery plans, and delivery risk.
• Monitor aging purchase requisitions, past-due purchase orders, supplier on-time delivery, material availability, and other program health indicators.
• Expedite critical material and maintain line-of-balance visibility so program teams can act before shortages affect production or field deployment.
• Present supply-chain status, constraints, and recovery actions in weekly and ad hoc program meetings.
• Support monthly sales forecasts, material tracking, and other program planning activities.
• Lead supply-chain inputs for customer proposals, including bill-of-material pricing and basis-of-estimate development.
• Represent the full supply-chain organization in program forums and solve urgent cross-functional issues as they arise.
• Complete required Material Program Management and earned-value training within the first year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and less than two years of relevant experience.
• At least one year of experience in supply-chain management, procurement, subcontracts, material planning, or a closely related role.
• Prior experience working directly with suppliers or supporting supplier-management activity.
• Demonstrated ability to manage purchase-order execution, delivery risk, shortages, and supplier recovery actions.
• Advanced working ability in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis for program reporting.
• Strong presentation skills and comfort representing supply chain to cross-functional stakeholders.
• U.S. citizenship is required for access to program information.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in business, management, finance, supply chain, or a related discipline.
• Experience with SAP, Kinaxis, or another enterprise MRP and supply-planning environment.
• Working knowledge of earned value, line-of-balance planning, program forecasting, and proposal pricing.
• Aerospace, defense, aviation, air-traffic management, electronics, or another highly regulated complex-equipment background.
• A calm, customer-focused style with the ability to lead recovery efforts in a fast-changing program environment.
