Job description:

Performs chemical and instrumental analyses on fuels, oils, and other lubricants using stem and testing methods as prescribed by ASTM and TIP's. Performs analyses on samples; Prepares solutions for various tests; transfers samples from one area to another in the lab; Maintains workbooks and equipment on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis as per SOP's and TIP's and test procedures; Performs daily calculations; Plots graphs and charts as needed; Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions; Performs other duties as assigned. 40 hour work week required. Must be willing to work day(6AM • 3PM) or evening shift (3PM - 12AM), some weekend work and adjusted work schedules may be required. Must maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must Have HS Diploma or Equivalent
• Must be a self-starter with attention to detail and be able to follow written and verbal instruction
• Must have computer and laboratory skills and basic hand tool knowledge.
• Must be able to operate laboratory equipment such as analytical balances, filtering apparatus and working with laboratory fume hoods
• Must have 6 month of lab experience
• Must have basic chemistry and lab PPE knowledge is preferred
• Steel toed shoes are a must
• Working in a safety sensitive position

Shifts:

Monday - Friday; some weekend work based on work deadlines. Must be able to work both shifts as needed.

1st shift 6 am - 3pm

2nd shift 3pm -12 am
