Role overview
This role supports electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair within a high-volume, union manufacturing environment. The Electrician is responsible for maintaining safe and reliable plant operations during peak production months and supporting preventive maintenance, repairs, and upgrades during the off-pack season.
This position is best suited for dependable, motivated electricians who are comfortable with shift work and want long-term stability in a union facility.
Pay, union, and shift details

Pay range: $33.72 to $37.23/hr
- Lower bracket applies to Certified and/or Journeyman Electricians
- Upper bracket applies to Master Electricians
- Rates are contractually bracketed and increase in March per the union agreement

Schedule and shift structure
Off-Pack Season (December through May)
- Standard shift: 4:30pm to 1:30am
Fresh Vegetable Processing Season (June through November)
- Typically 2 shifts per day, each lasting 10–12 hrs
- 4:30am to 4:00pm
- 4:00pm to 4:30am
- During pack season, work will include 2nd and/or 3rd shift
- Shifts may vary day-to-day depending on production needs
- Flexibility during peak season is required

- Indoor production environment
- Ambient temperatures typical of manufacturing

Key responsibilities
- Maintain, install, rebuild, and repair electrical equipment per specifications
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, motors, controllers, PLCs, and lighting systems in a production environment
- Analyze electrical breakdowns and respond to downtime events
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems
- Follow electrical codes, OSHA regulations, and plant safety policies
- Work closely with maintenance, production, and supervision teams
- Maintain housekeeping and basic documentation standards
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
(Responsibilities align to Electrician 1 and Electrician 2 scope depending on experience and classification.)
Required qualifications
Must-haves
- Dependability and strong attendance

- Ability to work in a team-based union environment
- Electrical experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
- Ability to read and write English

- Vocational or technical electrical training
- Journeyman or Master Electrician credentials
