Site Superintendent
Federal Government Construction Projects Only | Immediate Opening
A rapidly growing construction company specializing exclusively in Federal Government construction projects is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent. This position requires proven leadership on federal job sites with strong quality control, safety, and compliance expertise.
Position Summary
The Site Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities for federal projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and in strict compliance with contract documents, specifications, and federal quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage daily on-site operations for federal construction projects
- Ensure all work complies with approved plans, specifications, and federal contract requirements
- Enforce site safety, quality control, and compliance with all applicable codes and regulations
- Identify, document, and resolve field conflicts, constructability issues, and plan revisions
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors; schedule trades to meet project milestones
- Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with project specifications
- Prepare, track, and communicate RFIs and submittals with the project team
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks
- Assemble and submit project closeout documentation including O&M manuals, as-builts, and warranties
- Collaborate with project managers, quality control staff, and government representatives
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience working on Federal Government construction projects
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial construction supervision
- Demonstrated experience serving as a Quality Control Manager (QCM) on federal projects
- Strong working knowledge of all major construction trades
- Thorough understanding of federal construction specifications and QA/QC procedures

US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) CQC certification obtained within the last five years (required)
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to effectively interface with government inspectors, subcontractors, and project teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project) and web-based project management systems
