Role overview
You keep harvesting and field equipment running to support pack operations. This role requires stronger self-direction than plant maintenance because you’re often out in the field and do not have the full maintenance team right next to you. Ag experience is a big plus, especially people from farming communities who already fix their own equipment.
Schedule
Off-pack
- Target schedule: 4x10, Monday to Thursday
- Flex during the week: you can work up to 12 hrs Monday to Thursday to make up time
- No make-up hours on Friday
Pack season (mid-June through 1st week of November)
- Ag shift: 12-hr shifts, 6:00am to 6:00pm
- Days off pattern (when fully staffed): 7 on / 2 off, 7 on / 2 off, 7 on / 3 off
- Startup note: days off may not begin until operations stabilize early season
What you’ll do
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain harvest and field equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues quickly
- Keep equipment running to support consistent product flow
- Complete off-pack rebuilds, PMs, and equipment prep for the next season
- Work safely and follow company policies and field safety practices
What they look for
- Hands-on experience with ag equipment, heavy equipment, or similar mechanical repair
- Strong hydraulics + electrical troubleshooting
- Ag familiarity and comfort in farming communities is a plus
- Self-starter mindset and practical problem-solving
Pay
- Typically aligns with mechanic range: $28 to $32/hr, experience-based- Can go higher based on experience, tenure, industry, etc
