Job Title: Laboratory Technician
Job Summary
This temporary assignment will aid existing employees in the operation of organic extraction preparation procedures and support general laboratory functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in organic extraction preparation procedures
- Perform various chemical experiments and laboratory functions
- Use analytical balances and pipettes
- Handle chemicals as required
- Wash glassware
- Perform general laboratory housekeeping
Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous laboratory experience required
- Associate of Science degree preferred but not required
- Basic computer skills
- Good math skills
- Ability to work overtime as necessary, including weekends with little short notice
- Minimum of one year of experience required
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- May be required to stand for long periods of time
- Must be willing to work with hazardous and/or radioactive materials
- Training and personal protective equipment will be provided, including lab coat and safety glasses
Additional Requirements
- Must submit to a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Position is considered safety-sensitive
- Dress code: jeans, shirt, and closed-toe shoes
- Work hours: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
