EH&S Management Systems Specialist

Location: Tucson, AZ

Duration: 8-month contract (urgent need)

Pay Rate: $30–31.50/hr

Schedule: 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off)

Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Work Week: 40 hrs/week

Citizenship: U.S. Citizen required

Security Clearance: Not required

Position Overview

The EH&S Management Systems Specialist supports environmental, health, and safety management system activities within a large manufacturing and engineering environment. This role focuses on EH&S documentation control, management systems development, performance metrics, and internal communications.

This position plays a key role in ensuring EH&S programs remain audit-ready, organized, and aligned with regulatory and corporate standards.

You will work closely with EH&S leadership and operational teams to maintain management systems, track performance metrics, support audits, and improve EH&S communications.

This role is ideal for candidates with early-career EH&S experience and strong organizational and data management skills.

Core Responsibilities

EH&S Management Systems

  • Develop and maintain EH&S management system documentation
  • Maintain policies and procedures
  • Maintain work instructions
  • Maintain compliance records
  • Ensure documentation accuracy and consistency
  • Maintain document version control
  • Ensure audit-ready documentation

EH&S Documentation and SharePoint Management

  • Maintain EH&S documentation within SharePoint
  • Ensure documentation is current and accessible
  • Maintain document libraries
  • Support document organization
  • Improve document usability
  • Maintain records and archives

EH&S Website Management

  • Maintain EH&S internal website content
  • Ensure information is current and accurate
  • Update procedures and guidance
  • Post EH&S communications
  • Improve user accessibility

EH&S Communications

  • Develop EH&S communications
  • Distribute EH&S updates
  • Support EH&S campaigns
  • Prepare safety communications
  • Support awareness initiatives

Performance Metrics and Data Analysis

  • Develop EH&S metrics dashboards

Reporting and Leadership Support

  • Prepare EH&S reports

  • Support EH&S council structure development
  • Prepare council presentations
  • Support meeting coordination
  • Track action items

Audit and Inspection Support

  • Support regulatory inspections
  • Support internal audits
  • Support external audits
  • Maintain audit documentation
  • Track corrective actions

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2+ years of EH&S experience
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations
  • Knowledge of ANSI standards
  • Experience with EH&S documentation
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with SharePoint
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with EH&S management systems
  • Experience with EH&S software platforms
  • Experience with Enablon
  • CSP or ASP certification
  • Industrial hygiene knowledge
  • Experience supporting audits
  • Experience working in manufacturing environments
