Job Title: Journeyman Electrician

Job Description

Work to meet all deadlines on electrical installations and troubleshooting in a timely manner to minimize downtime. Follow written and verbal instructions from lead personnel. Must have knowledge of conduit (EMT and rigid), bending procedures, and wire-pulling practices. Responsible for the installation and/or troubleshooting of common electrical gear, including VFD motors, transformers, compressors, and pumps. Perform commercial and industrial electrical work following verbal and written instructions. Use electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals to complete installations or troubleshooting. Follow OSHA safety rules and procedures, including good housekeeping practices.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years of journeyman experience, including low-voltage, commercial, and industrial applications.
• State of Texas Journeyman Electrician License required.
• Valid and clear driver’s license.
• Basic PC knowledge for summarizing tasks via email or ticket system.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification required.

Physical Requirements

• Must be capable of safely operating hand tools and larger shop equipment.
• Able to climb and work from ladders (12 to 20 feet) and manlifts.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods.
• Must be able to perform underground work and work in crawlspaces.
• Heavy physical labor required.
• Ability to work under adverse conditions, including extreme climates, heat, noise, chemicals, and fumes.
• Ability to work shifts, overtime, and weekends.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Steel-toe shoes required.
• Must be able to clear an MVR.
• Dress code: shirt and jeans.
• Work hours: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
• Position is considered safety-sensitive.
