Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistician with expertise in GEIA-STD-0007B logistics data standards, Provisioning & Supply Support Analysis (PSA), and Logistics Product Data (LPD) candidate list development. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing logistics data within a GEIA-STD-0007B-compliant database, performing PSA, and identifying and managing LPD candidate items to support provisioning, sparing, and lifecycle sustainment strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and maintain Logistics Product Data (LPD) in accordance with GEIA-STD-0007B standards
- Create, maintain, and refine LPD candidate lists based on engineering data, bills of materials (BOMs), and maintenance concepts
- Identify provisioning candidates, spares, repair parts, and support equipment for inclusion in LPD datasets
- Populate, validate, and audit logistics data within designated database systems
- Perform Provisioning & Supply Support Analysis (PSA) to determine spares requirements, stockage levels, and replenishment strategies
- Analyze reliability data (e.g., failure rates, MTBF) and operational usage profiles to support sparing decisions
- Develop and maintain provisioning documentation, including parts lists and provisioning technical documentation (PTD)
- Support initial provisioning and replenishment provisioning activities
- Conduct data quality checks, audits, and integrity assessments across logistics datasets
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, reliability, and supply chain teams to ensure accurate candidate selection and data inputs
- Interpret technical drawings, engineering change notices (ECNs), and configuration updates for database integration
- Ensure traceability between LPD candidate items, approved provisioning parts, and system configurations
- Generate reports, metrics, and analytics to support lifecycle sustainment and readiness decisions
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, GEIA-STD-0007B schema, and applicable logistics standards
- Support configuration management and change control processes
- Contribute to Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements, including supply support, maintenance planning, and technical data
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in logistics data management, provisioning, or product support
- Hands-on experience with GEIA-STD-0007B or similar logistics data standards
- Experience developing or managing LPD candidate lists or provisioning parts lists
- Experience performing Provisioning & Supply Support Analysis (PSA) or equivalent sparing analysis
- Familiarity with Logistics Product Data (LPD) concepts and data structures
- Experience with logistics databases or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills (e.g., failure rate analysis, demand forecasting)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
- Ability to interpret engineering documentation and maintenance concepts
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting defense, aerospace, or government programs
- Knowledge of MIL-STD logistics standards and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) processes
- Familiarity with sparing models (e.g., demand-based, reliability-centered, or simulation-based approaches)
- Experience with provisioning tools and PSA software
- Working knowledge of SQL or database query tools
- Understanding of reliability engineering inputs (MTBF, MTTR, failure modes)
