- 1 Part-Time (20 hrs/week)
Contract with potential conversion after 91 days
Role Overview
This role supports a fast-paced Research & Innovation (R&D) team focused on food and beverage product development.
You will handle a mix of lab operations, pilot plant support, product testing, and logistics. The goal is to keep trials moving, labs organized, and data flowing.
This is a hands-on role. You will be on your feet, working with ingredients, samples, and equipment daily.
Key Responsibilities
Lab Operations & Organization
- Clean, organize, and restock product development labs daily
- Maintain ingredient and supply inventory
- Clean and organize coolers, storage areas, and workspaces
- Support dishwashing and cleanup after tastings and meetings
Pilot Plant & Trial Support
- Assist scientists and pilot plant teams during product trials
- Prepare samples, label materials, and coordinate tastings
- Support execution of development and process improvement work
Testing & Analysis
- Support shelf-life studies including product evaluation and sensory testing
- Record observations and assist with basic data tracking
- Follow standard lab and food safety procedures
Equipment & Maintenance
- Perform routine equipment calibrations
- Coordinate vendor visits for calibration and maintenance
- Maintain lab readiness and compliance
Shipping & Logistics
- Manage incoming and outgoing shipments of ingredients and samples
- Unpack, organize, and track deliveries
- Prepare and ship product samples
Experience
- 1+ year in a lab, manufacturing, or food production environment preferred
- Food, beverage, or CPG experience strongly preferred
Education
- BS or BA preferred, not required
Skills
- Basic understanding of food safety and lab procedures
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Ability to follow processes and document results
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Physical & Work Environment
- Standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs
