Job Title: Site Superintendent (Construction)

Location: San Antonio, TX

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and driven Site Superintendent with construction experience to oversee field operations in San Antonio. The ideal candidate will have experience in municipal government projects, strong trade or construction management skills, and the ability to manage project timelines effectively. Federal project experience is a plus but not required. A strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and according to specifications.
  • Manage trades effectively to ensure safety, quality, and project progress align with established timelines.
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and municipal government representatives to maintain seamless communication and progress.
  • Enforce compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and municipal building codes.
  • Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts.
  • Resolve on-site issues promptly while maintaining project integrity and minimizing delays.
  • Monitor and manage resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Prepare and submit daily and weekly progress reports to project stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact on-site for inspections, audits, and project reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role within the construction industry, with experience on municipal government projects preferred.
  • Education: Relevant trade experience is equally valued.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with local San Antonio construction codes, municipal government regulations, and permitting processes.
  • Skills:
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage trades effectively while maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Proficient in interpreting blueprints, schematics, and project plans.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills with diverse stakeholders.
  • Competent in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certifications:
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Construction Quality Management (CQM) Certification (preferred)
  • LEED Green Associate or LEED AP (preferred)
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) (preferred)
  • HAZWOPER 40 (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
